World Baseball Classic in Orlando, FL

2006 World Baseball Classic at Cracker Jack Stadium

The cities of Orlando, Florida will host first round action in the inaugural World Baseball Classic to be held March 5-10, 2006. Not only will the Magical Kingdom be a first round host, but they will play host to the popular Dominican Team! In addition to the Dominican Republic, Italy, Venezuela and Australia will all play several games at Cracker Jack Stadium. The winner of this division will advance to round 2 action in Puerto Rico.

The World Baseball Classic will coincide with the Florida Grapefruit League Spring Training, a very popular event in the Florida during the month of March. In fact, Cracker Jack Stadium is the spring training home for the Atlanta Braves.

There is no doubt the the city of Orlando will be buzzing with spring baseball fever! Witness a part of baseball history when the World Baseball Classic comes to central Florida!
