Information: Christopher B. Stubblefield, better known as "Stubb" throughout Texas has been a proud part of Texas music history and perhaps even better known for his famous barbecue sauce. Stubb was born in Navasota, TX before his family moved to Lubbock, where he got his start cooking in local eateries. He served in the Korean War where he furthered his cooking techniques and even acted as DJ to his fellow troops in the trenches. He returned to Lubbock in 1968 and created his first barbecue in a hickory pit behind his restaurant. He filled the jukebox with blues and it wasn't long before patrons could catch performances by folks such as, Joe Ely, Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Lee Hooker, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and George Thorogood amongst other greats. Stubb has since moved to Austin and his restaurant is open to great artists across Texas and nationwide. So bring some extra Wet Naps and an appetite for "Legendary Bar-B-Q" and great music!
