Arena Seating Chart Venue Information HSBC Arena, formerly known as Marine Midland Arena, was built on September 27, 1996 and is owned by Niagara Frontier Hockey L.P. In 1996, Marine Midland Bank paid $15 million for 20-year naming rights to the arena. The name then changed to HSBC when Marine Midland Bank took the name of its parent company.
