Mel Brooks Classic Comedy Hits Broadway
Mel Brooks first hit it big on Broadway when he revitalized his hit movie, The Producers into a smash-hit musical, which has become a broadway classic loved all over the world. Mel will now bring another musical to life with one of his greatest movie hits of all time, Young Frankenstein. Young Frankenstein is expected to start sometime in the Fall of 2007, and is sure to have some of the biggest names in Theatre joining this much anticipated cast. This show will bring the same team that put together The Producers, sure to bring this great story and classic movie to life on stage. Young Frankenstein is expected to take over the St James Theatre in New York when The Producers ends it's reign this Spring.
Mel Brooks intends to follow the screenplay from the movie closely, and it has been told that the Irvin Berlin estate has given Brooks the thumbs up to use the song Puttin' on the Ritz in the show. This is definitely going to be the must-see show in the fall.
