About Tarzan the Musical on Broadway
Disney will make yet another splash on Broadway with the highly anticipated theatrical rendition of Tarzan. Broadway fans and critics around the world are anticipating the opening of the new musical in the spring of 2006. The Richard Rodgers theater will be transformed into a vast jungle and elaborate stage set-up reminiscent of the Lion King. The score is by rock singer/composer Phil Collins, who won an Oscar for "You'll Be In My Heart"
which was featured in the 1999 film. All of the songs in the animated movie will also be in the new production along with eight new ones.
