Lestat is a brand new musical based on the book by Anne Rice. Anne Rice's most unforgettable vampire will make his Broadway debut in 2006. The music is written by the legendary Elton John while Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics for all of the musical performances in the production.
The Vampire Lestat is no stranger to audiences. This suave, seductive character was featured onscreen in three movies based on the novels of Anne Rice. "Interview with a Vampire", "The Vampire Lestat" and "Queen of the Damned" were all very successful films. The seductive tales of Lestat seems made for the Broadway stage. Prior to opening at the Palace Theater, Lestat will open in San Francisco's Curran Theater.
