August Osage County is a production that originally premiered in Chicago, June of 2007, before making its way to Broadway at the end of the same year. TickCo Premium Seating has great seats for you with your purchase of premium tickets!

This play has sinister, dark overtones with a comedic twist. August: Osage County tells a tale of the disappearance of family patriarch, poet and alcoholic Beverly Weston. His disappearance brings about a family reunion, but this is one reunion full of bitter dysfunction.

You will meet a family that as the performance goes on will little by little reveal some dark secrets about one another. All is not perfect in this family, and August Osage County will bring the audience into a world of drug and alcohol abuse, sexual harassment, incest and infidelity. You will sit on the edge of your seat during this marathon three-hour plus production wondering what could possibly happen next. The members of the family are linked together in ways not discernible at the surface which will shock the audience.

1854 Birthday of John Philip Sousa (1854-1932), composer of countless marches, who also found time to write Broadway musicals including Chris and the Wonderful Lamp (1900), The Free Lance (1906), and The American Maid (1913). In The Music Man, it is his arrival in town that Prof. Harold Hill is describing in the song "76 Trombones," which is written in Sousa style. Composer Meredith Willson played in Sousa's band early in his career.
