Don't miss your chance to catch this biennial event as the U.S. takes on the International contingent during the 2009 Presidents Cup. If you've never been to a Presidents Cup or Ryder Cup, this is your chance to match play at its best. Twelve members make up each team with a non-playing captain at the helm. The captain is responsible for pairing his team members throughout the event. Thursday through Saturday is comprised of team matches where two players from one team square off to play in either an alternate-shot or best-ball match. Pairings may switch between match-types but each player plays a 1 best-ball and 1 alternate-shot match per day with the possible exception of Saturday and during Sundays singles matches, when certain players may be allowed to sit out one match. One point is awarder per match and a tie may result in overall points forcing the two teams to share the trophy. However Sunday's single matches are no longer halved if tied after 18 holes. This means that one player must win the match outright in a sudden death playoff making an overall tie less-likely.
