Rose Garden - Deserving of Its Name!
Any Blazers fan will tell you that you're in for a treat when you visit the Rose Garden for a Portland Trailblazers game.
Rose Garden is located in downtown Portland's Rose Quarter. The Rose Quarter is a clean, well-planned and attractive entertainment center in the middle of an equally impressive and clean industrial neighborhood. It's truly a garden for gathering and good times, beautifully set in the heart of a major metropolis.
Parking close to the Rose Garden for a Trailblazers game can be tough at times. However, with the right planning even the lots further out from the Rose Quarter offer great parking for the game. Max Light Rail rides are free for people that pay to park in the Rose Garden Off-Site Parking lots. Taking the Light Rail is also a great way to avoid street congestion around the Rose Garden during Trailblazers games.
Free parking is possible if you get downtown early enough to find one of several metered spaces. Metered parking is free outside of business hours. Since the Rose Quarter is located in the middle of an industrial area these spaces are usually cleared out shortly after 5 p.m.
On-site parking is available in one of 4-5 lots attached to or adjacent to the Rose Quarter and ranges from $5.00-$15.00 depending on the event and lot.
Don't worry about catching dinner before going to the game. There are plenty of treats inside the Garden for you to make a meal out of. Rose Garden concessions offer everything from the usual arena-fare to fresh deli sandwiches and gourmet pizza by the slice. Just be sure to save room for a Widmer Hefewizen or MacTarnihan's Amber Ale. They take their micro-brews and coffee very seriously in Portland, so you know you're in for some good brews while your visiting the Rose Quarter.
Rose Garden is arguably one of the nicest venues in the NBA. From the water-spouting, flame-shooting fountain and sweet curb appeal of the outside of the Garden to the great views and friendly atmosphere inside the doors, you're in for a great night of basketball. Wrap up the sweet seats while they're still available with premium Trail Blazers tickets, and get ready for top-notch NBA basketball at one of the best venues in the league.
