San Francisco Giants: 2010-2011 Season

A Fan's Guide to the Game

The NL West is bound to be one of the most heavily contested battlefields in the Major Leagues this season. The San Francisco Giants are ready to take on their foes with a line-up loaded with young talent. Any Giants fan headed out for a game at AT&T Park should take a look at our "Fan's Guide to the Game" below.

Opened in March of 2000, AT&T Park holds 40,930 Bay Area baseball fans. One of the biggest attractions at AT&T would have to be the Splash Hits meter just outside the foul pole on the right field wall. Splash Hits are home runs hit by Giants into McCovey Cove, on the fly, without hitting the Arcade or Portwalk.

Cool ocean breezes and fresh sunshine await you at AT&T. Be sure to sit a little higher up in the lower level if you desire views of the San Francisco Bay as you take in the action. The higher you sit, the better the backdrop becomes. Classic design brings the feel of yesteryear's ballparks to each outing at AT&T. With modern features, AT&T matches the ol'-time feel for the game with all the latest comforts available.

Bringing the kids? Cut them loose on the 80-foot Coca-Cola bottle with playground slides and let them tear up the miniature AT&T Park behind left field.

Getting to AT&T Park is a snap using the B.A.R.T (Bay Area Rapid Transit) system. Getting anywhere in San Francisco is easy using B.A.R.T. for that matter. Fans can also walk from downtown and surrounding neighborhoods, or they can use streetcars, trolley buses, ferries and trains to get to the game. If you plan on driving your own vehicle, you can access AT&T Park from the Bay Bridge, Highways 101 and 280 and major San Francisco thoroughfares, including Third Street and the Embarcadero.

AT&T is one of the latest and greatest parks available to watch Major League Baseball, so get out to the game and witness a Splash Hit for yourself!
