Back in the eighties skateboarding was an activity reserved for punk rockers and was a part of that music scene. Tony Hawk, Christian Hosoi and Steve Caballero were young guys on the skateboarding scene. Who knew that their “activity” would join other sports such as snowboarding and create an exciting sport by the name of extreme sports?
Some people may remember Dan Cortese hosting a show on MTV by the name of MTV Sports back in 1992. This Emmy Award winning show brought the world of skateboarding, bike riding and bungee jumping to the mainstream. Before, these were activities reserved to a select number of people "crazy" enough to try them. Today events such as the X Games bring summer sports such as street luge and bike vert, along with winter sports such as snowboard vert and freestyle ski jumping, to the loyal fans of these athletes. These sports are dangerous, but what an incredible rush for the athletes and spectators!
Let’s face it, not many of us are willing to risk bodily injury for the rush of extreme sport the way these athletes are, so the best alternative is tickets from TickCo to see the extreme athletes perform live!
