Pearl Jam Artist Information
Flooding the through the gates of the Seattle grunge scene just behind Nirvana, Pearl Jam quickly became the gods of grunge in the early 90's. In a shaky time for rock radio, Pearl Jam was just the new taste that rock music was hungry for. Pearl Jam enjoyed successful album sales into the late 90s, but concert tours were a different monster. The band took on Ticketmaster in an effort to lower ticket cost. Their efforts failed, but you still have to admire the band for trying to bring it back to the fans.
Not many bands have made it out of the grunge era under the same name and with the bulk of their original lineup still intact. That's the beauty of Pearl Jam. They continue to hold true to their beliefs and each other, and continue to expose the world to the sounds of Seattle.
You can't argue with their current fan base. Pearl Jam ticket sales continue to keep the band touring deep into the first decade of the new millennium, so grab the sweet seats and take a trip back to 1992. Pearl Jam is still playing their brand of heartfelt jams, and they're ready to rock you live.
