Annie is an 11-year-old orphan who longs to find her parents. The orphanage she lives in is presided over by Miss Hannigan, a woman who dislikes children and keeps the children in line with her constant bullying. Annie decides to escape and finds a new friend, a friendly dog by the name of Sandy.
Eventually Annie is found and returns to the orphanage. Her life changes when she is picked to live in the home of a billionaire businessman by the name of Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks. Although they initally don't get along all that well, they soon come to love one another, and Daddy Warbucks seeks to adopt her. However, Annie still wants to find her parents, so he puts up a reward to find them.
