Help Me Choose My Seats
|
General Information
Chase Field, formerly Bank One Ballpark is a new state-of-the-art facility built specifically
for baseball so you can see everything from practically every seat.
Ideally to get the best view you should sit in the lower level seats.
As in most Major League Ballparks, the Diamondback's or home dugout
is on the third base side of the field and the visitors dugout is
on the first base side. With that in mind, let's find the perfect
seats for you!
The Best Seats in the House
Rated - Club Seats
These seats are located between the dugouts in sections G-M, rows
A and C through M. Club Seats are wider than all other seats in the
ballpark and include in-seat waitress service, private restrooms and
exclusive access to a restaurant complete with a full service bar.
The disadvantage to the in-seat waitress service is the gratuity tacked
on to every order but if you're used to watching the game in style
this extra gratuity won't be a bother. Club Seats include more amenities
than the alternative sections with a comparable view so generally
it is more difficult to find tickets in this area and those you do
will be offered at a higher price. If you are entertaining guests
or customers, these seats are perfect.
Excellent Seats
Rated - Field Boxes
Field Boxes are also included amongst the most desirable seats to
watch the game from and offer great views of the action and a break
in the price from the Club Seats. These are also wider seats than
in the rest of the park. They're located above both dugouts in sections
C-F and M-P, rows 6-18 with row 6 being the first row behind the dugouts.
Seats in this section run a bit less than Club Seats. They do not
include as many amenities as the Club Seats such as in-seat waitress
service but the money you'll save on the ticket price and not paying
an extra gratuity for the waitress service will make the trip to concessions
worth it.
Excellent Seats
Rated - Lower Level Between the Bases
Lower level seats between the bases are also an excellent choice
of seats to view the action from. Seats here are priced nicely and
may be just the ticket for you if you're bringing the family. These
seats still offer some of the most desired views of all the action
and are a great choice if you are bringing more than just a couple
of people with you. Seats here are smaller than Club and Field Box
seats but you're closer to the concourse than both, with easier access
to your seats and less of a climb to concessions. You'll want to note
that the overhang from the Infinity Level starts at row 33 so from
rows 33 through 41 it's hard to see balls that are hit up high. Other
than the occasional high foul, you'll still have a great lower level
view of all the action from these seats.
Good Seats
Rated - Down the Line and Outfield Seats
These seats are outside the bases in sections 101-114 and 130-144.
These are not bad seats by any means and may be a desirable alternative
to the higher priced sections between the bases during the higher
priced premier games or post season games. During the regular season
the price difference usually doesn't justify sitting here as opposed
to seats between the bases. You'll still enjoy a great view from the
lower level of the park if you do decide to sit in these sections
and when the long ball is hit, you'll have a better perspective than
those that like to call their own count from behind the plate!
Good Seats
Rated - Infinity Level or Diamond Level
Seats in sections 200-223 also offer a good view of the game but the
face value on tickets for these sections is higher than most of the
lower level seating between the bases, even though the view is further
away from the field. These sections include escalator access and a
view from a higher perspective that may be preferred by some. However
after factoring in the price and the view offered here you may be
better off looking for seats in the lower level between the bases.
Economical Seats
Rated - Upper Level Seats
Seats in sections 300-332 are very high up and unless you are
sitting in the first few rows the stairs are really steep here and
it's not the ideal setting for young children. These are seats that
you would look for during high priced games if you really had to stick
to a budget. There is escalator access to the third level but they
are not always running. Stick to these sections during the premium
games and look for seats in the lower level during others if you really
want to get the most out of your ticket purchase.
Parking Tip
Parking is available in several public garages and private lots in
the immediate area surrounding the stadium and ranges from $5 to $25
depending on the distance from the park, the opponent and the day
of the week that the game occurs. These prices escalate during the
post season but here's a tip on free parking year round. On an average
day you can find free parking along Washington and Jefferson streets
from around 11th Street to 7th street right up until game time. You
can parallel park along the south curb of Washington street or one
block south on Jefferson on either side of the street. Keep your eye
out for spots along the side streets in this area. During premium
games as well as the post season, parking here is still free, just
head down extra early, park for free and spend that money on some
food and drinks before the game at one of several restaurants and
bars in the downtown area! |
