Help Me Choose My Seats ™

Talladega Specs:
Banking/Turns: 33° · Distance: 2.66 miles · Shape: Tri-oval

General Information

Talladega is the largest oval track on the NASCAR circuit. This track measures 2.66 miles around and seats over 143,000 fans for a NASCAR race. There is also an international racing museum on site that is open year round.

The Best Seats - Rated:
The very best seats at Talladega Superspeedway are located in the Tri Oval, Oval Hill South and Oval Hill North Towers. These seats are located directly in front of the pits and are elevated above the grandstands for a perfect view of the entire track and pit road. Because this track is so large, sitting higher up allows you to observe more of the race track. There are other Towers at Talladega but these are considered the best because they are the highest and have the best view of pit road.

While some fans need a good view of the pits, others want to see the Start/Finish Line. At Talladega, the Start/Finish Line is located directly in front if the Moss Thornton Grandstand. For the best view of the Start/Finish line look for seats in the Moss Thornton Tower or Birmingham Tower. Seats in the Birmingham Tower are terrific because you will get a decent view of the Start/Finish line as well as a great view of the cars as they exit the pits.

The best bargain at Talladega can be found in the Anniston Tower. It is elevated and offers a decent view of the pits at a price much less than the other towers on the front stretch.

Good Seats - Rated:
If you would prefer to be elevated but want to save a little money, look for seats in the Lincoln and Gadsden Towers. These sections don't offer pit views or a view of the start/finish line but are elevated for a good view of the entire track.

For those gear heads out there that have to have a good view of the pits look for seats in the Oval Hill North, South, Birmingham and Anniston Grandstands. The best pit views can be found in the Oval Hill Grandstands while the Start/Finish line is best viewed from the Birmingham and Moss Thornton Grandstands. Grandstand seating gets spectators closer to the track. From the lower rows in the Grandstands you won't have a great view of the entire track, but get you much closer to the heart pounding, tire burning NASCAR action.

Economical Seats - Rated:
If price is a big factor when purchasing tickets, look for seats in the Lincoln and Gadsden Grandstands. These sections will still offer you a decent view of the track and are the cheapest seats located on the Frontstretch.

Backstretch Seats - Rated:
These are the cheapest seats at Talladega for a reason. Seats in these sections offer a limited view of the track and no view of the pits or Start/Finish line. Your money would be better spent upgrading to the Lincoln or Gadsden Grandstands.

Pit Passes: - Rated:
Be sure to bring your camera! Pit passes will give you a close-up view of pit row. Get your picture taken in front of your favorite car or chat with the pit crew. This is a MUST SEE for diehard race fans. Passes allow access to pit road but are not good for gate admission. A separate ticket must be purchased to enter the gates. Must be 18 years or older to access pits. For safety, closed-toed shoes must be worn and shoulders must be covered.
