Help Me Choose My Seats ™

Heading to a Warriors game at Oakland Arena? Looking for the perfect seats? Look no further. We have Oakland Arena broken down to help you choose the perfect seats.

General Information – The Oakland Arena opened in 1996 and currently holds 19,200 fans during basketball events. With the exception of a few foldout floor seats, each seat has its own cup holder. Lower level and upper level seating consists of nice purple seats with plenty of contour to the seat back and lots of cushioning to both the back and seat of each chair. There’ll be no seat shifting in this arena.

Rated - For the best of the best seating in the house, look for seats in the premium sections close to the floor. Sections 1, 14, 15 and 28 are as close as you can get to center court. These seats are the first five rows to the court, rows A1-A5 and include Courtside Club Access, in-seat wait service and other fine VIP amenities. All double-digit courtside Club seats include the same amenities and exclusive Club access. Parking will be noted with the ticket but not all season ticket holders offer the parking pass with their tickets for resale. Sections 2, 13, 16 and 27 are towards the ends of the court. Courtside seats between the baskets in sections 113-116 and 127-102 are also an option for the best seating in the Arena. Row 1 of these sections is only 6 rows from the court. Ticket holders in these sections get exclusive access to the Sideline Club. For the best views here, stick to rows 1-5 in center court sections 101, 114-115 and 128. On the other hand, you can find a significant drop in price if you’re willing to sit a few rows higher in side court sections to save some cash.

Rated - Center court sections in the upper level; sections 201, 216, 217 and 232 actually offer a great view of the game and comfortable seating. I’d personally prefer to sit in row 1 of the upper level here than in the corners or ends of the lower level. You can kick your feet up and watch as the crucial plays are setting up. Look for seats in the first few rows of sections 201-203, 215-218, 231 or 232 for the best views from the upper level. You can save a considerable amount of money by sitting in sections 203, 214, 218 or 231 because these sections are further from center court.

Rated - Lower level seats in the corners and ends of the Arena offer the lowest prices in the lower level. Some people think the basket is a hindrance in sections directly on the ends of the court. I’d rather find a seat in a lower row on the ends than higher up in the corners. Look for seats in rows 1-6 of sections 107, 108, 121 or 122 for your best view at these prices. Watching a seven-footer slam one home from up close on the ends is worth the slightly one-sided view of the game down here. It really is a matter of personal preference, so seats in sections 103-106, 109, 112, 117-120 and 123-126 on the corners might be your best pick for lower level seats at good prices. In the corners you get a little better view of the far end of the court and, if you’re up close (rows 1-5) you’re right on top of the hard picks, three-pointers and dunks at your end of the court.

Rated - Higher rows in the corners and ends of the Arena are the best bargain for those that need to stretch their dollar the furthest. For some of the lowest prices in the Arena, you get comfortable seats in the lower level, quick access to the main concourse, for restrooms and concessions and extra money in your pocket for souvenirs! Try the corners first, in sections 103-106, 109-112, 117-120 and 123-126. You can usually find the lowest priced lower level tickets on the ends in sections 107, 108, 121 and 122.

Seats to Avoid – I only recommend sitting in the corners and ends of most arenas as a last ditch effort during high demand games. If a premium game or post-season play has pushed ticket prices up and you’re really strapped for cash, seats in sections 204-213 and 221-229 might just be you’re only option to get to see the game. It’s always worth the extra few dollars to sit closer to center court of the upper level or down lower in the corners and ends. From up high, the action is hard to gauge across the arena and you’ll thank me for having a better view of that 3-point buzzer better when it happens!
