Help Me Choose My Seats ™

Heading to a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden? Looking for the perfect seats? Look no further. We have Madison Square Garden broken down to help you choose the perfect seats.

General Information – The Garden has been opened since 1960 and holds 18,200 fans for basketball or hockey. The oval design is a conceptual marvel and we’re still amazed at how close you can be to the court from the fourth level! There’s plenty of padding on the seats and a cup holder is always near. It’s easy to see that The Garden was built with great views and patron accommodation in mind and it’s no wonder it’s still one of the most coveted venues to catch an NBA game today.

Rated - The few and the proud that can attend a Knicks game and watch it from courtside seating won’t be let down. There’s plenty of legroom here, plenty of shoulder room too and at the worst, you’ll only have to cross four or five seats to get to the isle. How’s that for well planned seating! To impress the clients look for center court sections 16, 17, 26 or 27. If the price is too steep here, you can try your luck looking for seats in sections 14-15, 18-19, 24-25 or 28 and 29. Courtside Loge and Club seating is also highly recommended and not as spendy as the courtside seating. Look for Loge sections, 44-61, 73-90 or Club sections 105-108 and 122-125 if court side seating is to expensive and you still want a premium lower level view of the game.

Rated - Want an up close view of the action with a bit of a price break from the premium seating? Look for lower seats in the corner sections 40-43, 62-65, 69-72 and 91-94. These sections keep you right on top of the action with a full view of both ends of the court. We recommend sections 10-13 and 20-23 even more. They are behind the baskets but this is New York and you can’t beat great NBA action from this close here! You can find even more of a price break on lower level seats behind the baskets in sections 66-68 and 95-97.

Rated - 200 level seating and 300 level side court seating offer great views of the action at bargain prices. We recommend any of the 200 level seating first. Sections 222-225 and 205-208 are between the baselines while other 200 level sections start at the baselines and wrap around the court behind the baskets. You’ll be surprised at the view from the 300 level if you’ve never been to The Garden. Maybe it’s because they weren’t trying to pack fans in like mice back in 1968 but whatever the case, if budget demands a lower price, look for seats in sections 307-312 and 332-337 for great side court views of the game.

Seats to Avoid – None. There’s not a bad seat in the house. You have to consider that this is NBA action in The Big Apple. We recommend the 300 level before the 400 level of course but we do have access to first row seats in the 400 level. If you need to get to the game and save some money for the rest of your visit in New York, look for 300 level seats behind the baselines or seats in the first few rows of the 400 level. Keep an eye out for isle seats. If it turns out the upper level seats match your budget, you might as well shop for the extra bonus of sitting on the isle due to their availability up here.
