Help Me Choose My Seats
|
General Information
So you want to know where to sit, huh? Well, our experts have broken
down Qualcomm stadium to help you find the perfect seats. Review the
information below. If you have any questions please feel free to call
us toll free 800-279-4444.
Best in the House
Rated - For the best dollar value, we would suggest the Plaza
level between the 25 yard lines. These seats see the most action during
the game. We recommend sections 5-6 and 36-37.
The weather in San Diego is always great but we suggest rows 18-25
for shade from the sun. You will enjoy television monitors in the
Plaza level, each placed about every 30 feet to review each play.
Excellent Seats
Rated – The Club level will allow you to enjoy some of Qualcomm
Stadium's amenities and enjoy an elevated view of the game. We recommend
sections 5-6 and 36-37 again. Club level tickets include a breakfast
buffet for scheduled afternoon Charger games, as well as exclusive access to
four Club level restaurants and lounges for pre-game, half-time and
post game fun, and wait service from the comfort of your slightly wider,
padded seats with attached cup holders. If you are looking for a more
'upscale atmosphere' the Club seats are for you, but usually at a much
higher price per ticket.
Good Seats
Rated – Look to the lower level end zones and corners for this
category. Plaza level end-zone seats in sections 18-24, 49-55 will
give you a great view of scoring plays right up the middle. Hopefully
all the scoring drives will end up on your side of the field. Plaza
corner seats in sections 14-17, 25-29, 45-48 and 58-56 will give you
great views of 'touch fade' touchdown pass patterns.
Economical Seats
Rated - If the fan in you says 'yes' but your budget says 'no',
consider some upper level seats in the View level. The corners and
end zones in the View level will be the least expensive. Pack up the
family, bring the sun block, headphones, binoculars and have a great
family day. Just like any NFL stadium, the upper deck is still the
upper deck but the difference at the 'Q' is that you get to enjoy
the great San Diego weather.
Seats to Avoid - Watch out for Field level seats rows 15 and
below. These seats may be obstructed by players and television equipment.
It's also hard to see plays when they come to the short side of the
field. You might spend more time watching the Jumbo-Tron than the actual game.
Jumbo-Tron's - The 'Q' has two Jumbo-Tron's with the latest
edition on the west upper deck. The original scoreboard is now located
on the east side of the stadium.
Miscellaneous Info - Check out the 'Q's' best concession offer:
Yummy fish tacos with guacamole. Hot dog lovers might want to know
that Wienerschnitzel's are served thru out the stadium while upscale
Hebrew National dogs are offered in the Club section. The 'Q' offers
many chances to get your favorite Charger gear. You can't go wrong
with the vintage 'powder blue and gold' jersey for the true Charger
fan.
Getting To Qualcomm - Access to the stadium can get tricky,
especially when playing an AFC West team or night game. The best way
to get here is a trolley ride to the stadium from downtown San Diego.
Trolley fares range from $5-$8, with the trolley letting you off right at the front
steps of the stadium.
More Information
The San Diego Chargers took the field on August 20th,1967 for
their first official game at San Diego Stadium. Built at a cost
of $27.75 million, San Diego's first state-of-the-art sports
venue was able to house 53,000 screaming Chargers fans. It was
renamed in 1980 as San Diego Jack Murphy Stadium after a local
sports writer credited with bringing the Chargers to San Diego.
Remodeled in 1984 and again in 1997 with its new name, Qualcomm
Stadium now holds 71,500 Chargers faithfuls, 2 new video screens,
113 suites, new Club sections with 4 lounges and upgraded food
services. |
