Beginning as a band in 1986 primarily playing cover songs, Widespread Panic started to gain a strong local following in Athens with their strong play and drawn out jam sessions. A member of their road crew has a set list from the previous three shows available to the band so they can decide what songs to play during their first set, return to the list after the first set to pick the songs for the next set and continue to do during each break.
