The Eagles are one of the great American rock bands of all time, both from an audience standpoint and definitely in regards to album sales during their long career. Starting out in the early 70's, the Eagles have written and recorded many great classic hits like Witchy Woman, Desperado, Take it to the Limit and arguably their best hit, Hotel California. The Eagles have seen a few members come and go throughout the years and the band disbanded from 1980-1994. They returned in 1994 with their album Hell Freezes Over, which contained four new studio as well as several live tracks, that topped the Billboard charts and reminded us why the Eagles are one of the great rock bands of the modern era.
The Eagles continued to tour periodically from that year on, always delivering solid shows to their fans and periodically releasing updated greatest hits albums and career retrospective DVD's. However, 2007 saw the release of a disc of entirely brand new Eagles material for the first time since 1979. Long Road Out Of Eden topped the Album Charts and delivered a Grammy Award to the band for Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal.
