The band released its first major label disc, Shake Your Money Maker, in 1990. Fans loved the Black Crowes blues-inspired hard rock, so much so that the disc climbed into the Top Five on the charts and was eventually certified multi-platinum. The momentum continued on their sophomore release The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, which debuted on the charts at Number One and went on to be certified multi-platinum as well.
The Black Crowes continued to release discs and established a great reputation for energetic, quality live performances. Many personnel changes have occurred within the framework of the band over the years, but the constant driving force remains brothers Chris and Rich Robinson.
