Alison Krauss started her career at an early age, with her first solo record being released in 1987 at the age of 16. Possessing a beautiful voice and extraordinary talent on the fiddle, Alison Krauss quickly became a popular artist on the bluegrass circuit. Her work, both on her own and with Union Station, has earned her well into the double digit range for the number of Grammy Awards in her collection. She has done work for several soundtracks in her career, including "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" in 2000.
Recently she collaborated with the legendary vocalist of Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant, on the Raising Sand disc, with one of the songs from that collection earning the duo a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with vocals.
