Alan Jackson Artist information
Alan Jackson was born to a blue-collar family in Newnan, Georgia in 1958. While playing in local country bands, Jackson worked as a mechanic and car salesman to make ends meet. He moved to Nashville in 1985 where his music career started to blossom. Alan Jackson's first job was working for Glen Campbell's music publishing company as a songwriter. Four years later, Jackson released his debut album Here in the Real World, but it wasn't until 1991 that Jackson hit it big with three #1 hits– I'd Love You All Over, Don't Rock the Jukebox and Someday. Since then, Jackson has not looked back.

Jackson has been honored by the Country Music Academy numerous times– single of the year in 1993 for Chattahoochee and entertainer of the year two years later. The 2000's brought just as much success for Jackson with the award-winning album Drive, which sold more than four million copies and reached Number One. More greatest hits albums followed and collaborations with big names in music including Martina McBride, Alison Krauss and Jimmy Buffett.
