Omaha Events

Omaha, Nebraska offers a wide variety of entertainment options for fans of sport and culture alike. On the collegiate level, Omaha is home to the Creighton University Bluejays as well as the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Mavericks. Creighton’s basketball team has won six Missouri Valley Conference titles and been to six NCAA tournaments in the last decade. The Creighton basketball team and the UNO hockey team both play their home games at Omaha’s Qwest Center, opened in 2003.

Omaha is also prominent as the home of the annual College Baseball World Series, played in Rosenblatt Stadium since 1950. Culturally, Omaha features a series of excellent venues, each suited to particular types of events. The Holland Performing Arts Center, known for its great acoustics, plays host to the Omaha Symphony Orchestra. The Orpheum Theatre offers a more theatrical setting. Broadway-style theatrical productions can also be seen, along with comedy shows and concerts, at the Omaha Music Hall. Another classic building is the Sokol Auditorium, located in the Little Bohemia section of south Omaha.
