Cirque Saltimbanco Information
Saltimbanco is the oldest touring show of Cirque du Soleil, originally running from 1992-2006. This particular show celebrates life, developed as a means for its creators to provide a more positive and optimistic outlook on life, in definite contrast to their belief the 20th century was an era full of negativism and violence.
Saltimbanco comes from "saltere in banco", Italian for "to jump on a bench" and the show takes the audience on a trip to a dream world with an imaginary city that inspires hope.
