The Best Seats in the House
Rated - This really depends on what you are looking for. The best
seats for entertaining clients or trying to impress would be in the
Loge (100) level as close to the 50 yd line as possible. The Loge
is high enough to where you can see very well from anywhere in the
Loge, including the end zone. The loge level offers theater style
seating, private rest rooms and concessions, and covered seating just
in case of rain. For my money, I would pick seats in the lower level
between the 25 yard lines. These seats are excellent with a great
view of the entire field and about 1/2, or less than 1/2, the price
of those in the loge. Look for tickets in sections 6-8 or 29-31.
Excellent Seats
Rated - If you are wanting to sit in the lower level but still
have some cash for concessions try finding seats in sections 4-5,
9-10, 27-28 and 32-33. These are located from the goal-25 yd line
and still offer great views of the field at a cheaper price. Don't
overlook the upper level. A lot of good seats can be found in the
upper level between the 25-50 yd line in sections 204-208 or 240-244.
Good Seats
Rated - If you HAVE to sit in the lower level but are on a tighter
budget consider seats in the endzones and corners. Sections 34-41,
1-3 and 11-26. These are much more economical than yard line seats
but still get you close to the field and players. This area offers
a unique vantage point where you can see the plays develop and the
holes in the line open up. The only disadvantage is that you are far
away from the action when the teams are at the other end of the field.
On the other hand, things are great when the teams are at your end
of the field. If you are a shade lover try the south endzone sections
37-41. Although you won't be able to see the jumbo-tron, the sun will
be at your back for the entire game. Endzone seating is also known
for it's more rowdy and passionate fans so be ready cheer on your
team!
Economical Seats
Rated - If price is most definitely a factor and you are just
wanting to go to the game you may want to look for some upper level
endzone or corner seats (sections 212-235). Sun Devil Stadium is designed
very well so there are no really bad seats. You will have a good view
from nearly any section in the stadium.
Seats To Avoid - Unlike many stadiums, there really aren't
any bad or obstructed view seats at Sun Devil Stadium. Avoid low rows
(1-8) in the lower level corners. The players on the sidelines can
create a blind spot on your side of the field near the opposite endzone.
If you want to drink a beer at an NFL game avoid the alcohol free
sections 9, 12-13, 41 and 201. Even the lowest rows in the stadium
are well above the field. So don't worry about them unless you are
in the corners.
The Scoreboard and Jumbo-Tron- The jumbo-tron is located behind
the south endzone. You will not be able to view it from sections 35-41,
1-2.
Sunny/Shady Side - The weather in January here is perfect.
It may be a bit chilly in the afternoon so if you would prefer to
sit in the sun, find seats on either the north or east side of the
stadium. Sections 14-34 in the Lower level and 217-247 in the upper
level. If it is a night game you will need at least a light jacket
in the lower level and something a bit warmer if you are sitting in
the upper level, especially the high rows.
Miscellaneous Info- There are between 40-50 rows in the lower
level, 10 rows in the Loge level and approx. 40 rows in the upper
level. For NFL games the home team is on the west side for college
games the home team is on the east side. For the Fiesta Bowl it varies.
