The Very Best Seats: The best seats in the house will be within rows 1 - 15 of the center orchestra section. These will always come with the largest price tag because they have the highest demand and lowest supply. These seats are usually taken by the house and used for the VIP's. You can easily see to the back corners of the stage from seats in this area.

Very Good Seats: Many people claim that seats in the first few rows of the mezzanine sections are just as good as any seat and that they can be obtained at a price more reasonable than center orchestra seats. You do not lose much of anything with the side orchestra seats as far as the view, but you are at a distance from the action at the far side of the stage.

Venue Information

The St. James Theater seats 2,681 at its highest capacity. The Orchestra level, or first level, contains 36 rows. They are labeled A-Z & NN-ZZ. The Mezzanine level, or 2nd level, which comes out over Row T of the Orchestra, contains 15 rows. These are labeled A-H & J-Q. Each level contains five divisions: For Center the seat numbers will be labled in the 100's, Right Center will be labled in the 200's, Left center will be numbered in the 300's. The far right will be even numbers and the far left will be odd numbers. There is no elevator access to the Mezzanine level.
