A Fan's Guide to the Game
These days the Los Angeles Angels (formerly the Anaheim Angels) are the hottest ticket in southern California. The team has put together an all star line-up and now reside amongst the American League's elite teams. If you are heading out to catch an Angels game you will want to catch our "Fan's Guide to the Game" below.
One of the reasons fans flock to Angels games every summer is the fabulous setting. Angel Stadium of Anaheim, built in 1962, is one of the older stadiums in baseball, but recent renovations have made it a great place to catch a game. The signature piece of the stadium is the "outfield extravaganza" waterfall-and-geyser area located in center field.
This family-friendly ballpark features plenty of great activities for younger Angels fans as well as adults. The Pepsi Pavilion, located on the terrace level concourse, features nine baseball style games including an electronic batting cage and Home Run Derby.
Hungry? Before the game visit Wolfgang Puck's Cafe, just across the street for a bite. A favorite among Angels fans is Zankous Chicken, a hidden, critically acclaimed hole in the wall whose specialties are fire roasted chicken and spicy beef sausage. After the game hit up the ESPN Zone, the ultimate sports bar with more plasma screens than people. Have a drink, catch some highlights.
Good times are to be had at Angel Stadium as they aim towards the AL crown and a chance to win the World Series, so go out and catch an Angels game!
See you at the ballpark!
