Opened for baseball on April 11th, 2000, Comerica Park became the second home of the Detroit Tigers. Fans not used to seeing the Tigers play anywhere but on Michigan and Trumbull easily warmed up to the new facility. With a fabulous Detroit skyline as a backdrop, this stadium matches modern features and the past feel of classic stadiums in an unparalleled manner.
As if the classic setting and modern comforts weren't enough, Tigers fans can enjoy a carousel and Ferris wheel ride during the slower innings.
Parking is a snap in one of the many garages around the stadium, which is located within walking distance of Ford Field and the Detroit Fox Theatre for those looking to make the most of there visit to Detroit.
Patrons are treated to much more than a ball game when they enter Comerica Park. From the huge statues around many of the entrances to the five statues of Tiger Hall of Famers, including Ty Cobb along the left-centerfield wall, there's plenty of eye candy throughout the Park. It's hard, if not impossible, to find an obstructed view at this venue, even when your strolling the main concourse to grab a bite to eat. You'll enjoy great views of the game from any seat and you're never too far from the past when attending a game here.
