Since 1973, the American Music Awards have paid tribute to the most talented and popular musicians in various genres. When Dick Clark created the Awards, he knew they would become one of the most prestigious honors in music, and more than 35 years later, his vision continues to flourish.

The 2008 American Music Awards at the famous Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles welcomed some of the biggest names in rock, pop, R&B, hop hip, country, and Latin. The night featured spectacular performances by New Kids on the Block, Rihanna, Pussycat Dolls, Pink, Ne-Yo, Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift.
