His big break came when he guest-starred on the hit sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. Those episodes he appeared in helped him land his own series, The King of Queens. The show ran from 1998 through 2007 and was a big success, with James even earning an Emmy Award nomination in 2006 as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.
